Here’s a quick and easy way to estimate what size self-storage room you need. The actual amount of space you need depends on the type of goods you have, how accessible you want them to be, and the way you utilise your space.

The examples below show how large the most popular room sizes are. We’ve also shown approximately the volume of goods each room should take.

Remember that you can make use of the full height of a storage room (not to forget to leave a walkway through!). You will need to use sturdy boxes to stack delicate or irregular shaped objects.

We have units close to the following sizes;

25 sq ft

• It can hold a single size mattress and bed frame (dismantled) with 10 small storage boxes, OR
• 18 to 30 D Storage Pte Ltd carton storage boxes, OR
• 2 small cabinet with 10 to 16 small storage boxes.

31 sq ft to 45 sq ft

• About a size of a larger storage room
• 30 to 90 D Storage carton storage boxes (depending on the storage unit size), OR
• It can hold the size of 2 single bed mattress with the bed frame (dismantle) with 20 to 30 small boxes, OR
• 2 standard cabinet together with 40 to 50 small storage boxes.

50 sq ft to 70 sq ft

• About half to 3/4 of a single bedroom
• 80 to 120 D Storage carton storage boxes (depending on the storage unit size), OR
• It can hold the size of 1 King/Queen size mattress with bed frame, 1 set of dining table with 6 chairs, 1 standard refrigerator, 1 standard washing machine, 1 set of 42″ flat TV and about 30 to 45 small boxes (depends on storage unit size).

75 sq ft – 92 sq ft

• About the size of a single bedroom
• 100 to 180 D Storage carton storage boxes (depending on the storage unit size), OR
• It can hold the size of 1 King/Queen size mattress with bed frame, 1 set of dining table with 6 chairs, 1 standard refrigerator, 1 standard washing machine, 1 set of 42″ flat TV, 2 standard cabinet, 3 + 2 sofa set and about 30 to 45 small boxes (depends on storage unit size).

•  These units are bigger than the master bedroom
• 200 to 350 D Storage carton storage boxes (depending on the storage unit size), OR
• It can hold the size of 1 King/Queen size mattress with bedframe (X 2 sets) , 1 Super single size mattress with bedframe (X 3 sets), 1 set of dining table with 6 chairs, 1 standard refrigerator, 1 standard washing machine, 1 set of 42″ flat TV, 2 standard cabinet, standing fan (X 3 sets), 3 + 2 sofa set and about 50 to 100 small boxes (depends on storage unit size).
• For SME, small equipment may be stored inside these storage units depending on the size of the equipment.
